From the Archives . . .
Revolutionary War pension applications are a fascinating source of first person accounts of the conflict. This article written by Savas Beatie author Arthur Lefkowitz tells the story of these frequently emotionally-charged documents along with excerpts from the application of a veteran of the Arnold Expedition. Mr. Lefkowitz's new book Benedict Arnold's Army is the story of the 1775 Arnold Expedition and American efforts to seize Canada at the start of the American Revolution.
