Good morning, Savas Beatie Readers! Welcome to... gosh, my first Morehouse Monday in quite some time. I apologize for that, but will quickly throw my step kids under the bus and blame it all on them and their robust social calendars :) Not to worry - they'll be heading back to school shortly (I can't wait!) which means I can once again devote my time to y'all.
Which brings me to this VERY exciting announcement.
I have spoken of it prior, but things are really moving along now in regards to the restoration of the Gresham Family plot at Rose Hill Cemetery. Our man on the scene is Joey Fernandez and he's running point and doing some AMAZING things as can be viewed in the photo for this week's blog. It is truly mind-blowing - I have walked up those steps into the plot and did not even realize there was brick underneath. What a difference some elbow grease and dedication can make!
Joey will be moving forward full steam on August 10 with this restoration project and he could use your help! If you can donate an hour of your time or more, a $10 donation... or more... or a shade structure or five, we will enter you into our raffle of one free signed copy of The War Outside My Window. It doesn't end there! The wonderful folks at the Gresham home (now the 1842 Inn bed and breakfast) have contributed a one night's stay to be raffled off as well, so... you could potentially end up reading your FREE signed copy while enjoying your FREE night's stay at LeRoy's home in Macon!

Donations of $10 or more will automatically be entered into our drawing.
If you are able to make it to the cemetery on Saturday, August 10 at 9 am, send us a photo of the action as your entry.
Finally, if you can make it out that day AND you have a shade structure, please reach out to me directly and I'll put you in touch with Joey to coordinate.
This is a great opportunity to pitch in on a very worthwhile cause. I do hope to see a lot of our readers participating!
Have a great week, y'all!
